In a ceremony held on Sunday night, July 12th, 2026 at the African American Performing Arts Center, awards in 29 categories including 2025 NMMA winners Felix y los Gatos, and Chris Dracup as Best Global artist and Best Jazz, Blues and R&B artist, respectively. Other awards were given out for best new anchor, best annual event, best television production, actor, actress and fine artist.
The 2026 Icon Award recipient went to New Mexico actor and director Argos MacCallum.
