Singer/songwriter Oscar Butler has released his debut album Chorus of My Life. Butler has been knocking around New Mexico, playing here and there while working full time as a personal trainer, but decided a few years ago to go into music full time. The Smooth Like Gravy performer began booking himself into any venue that had live music, all the while working on his craft and writing better and better songs. He now is a very much in demand artist, performing across New Mexico and the Southwest. He is currently booked throughout 2024 and adding more dates every week.
The result is this first album, engineered and produced by him at his Cool Duck Stuff Studios in Albuquerque. The album features several songs that were nominated at last year’s New Mexico Music Awards including his award winning song, A Mountain You Must Climb. Butler plays guitar and provides all of the vocals. Guest include Noland Harmon on harmonica and Colorado’s Brandon Bentz also playing harmonica on Busted, Broken and Blue, and Just Say What You Mean. The music is available on all streaming platforms.
