The awards show will be once again held at the fabulous Sandia Resort & Casino in Albuquerque where our guests will enjoy a sumptuous dinner, followed by performances by Costley/Crooze, Christina Gomez, Felix “Gato” Peralta, Illumina AD, Eryn Bent Band and LoPhat.
Those staying at the hotel will also be able to enjoy the many wonderful amenities including gaming, the championship golf course, and the Green Reed spa. The pre-show meet and greet begins at 5:00 PM with a live streamed Red Carpet event sponsored by Rich Ford and a cocktail meet and greet where you can mix and mingle with the elite of New Mexico’s music industry followed by our dinner and show at 7:00 PM.
We will hand out awards in 42 categories including Jazz, Country, R&B, Hip-Hop, Blues, Americana, Folk, Best Song and the Norman Petty Producer’s Award and Best Album of the Year. We will also honor the late Juan Velasco with the Eric Larson Lifetime Achievement Award.
The New Mexico Music Awards works to promote and encourage both amateur and professional artists, songwriters, producers, audio engineers and other music industry professionals through competition. The awards program educates with workshops ranging from copyright information to recording techniques as well as other educational endeavors related to music within the New Mexico community. The NMMA also works tirelessly to promote New Mexico artists and their music to a global audience.
