The New Mexico Music Awards will partner in 2010 with the New Mexico Music Commission to provide educational seminars for artists, engineers, songwriters, producers and other interested parties. These seminars will present information about copywriting, music law, instrumentation, songwriting, production, recording technologies and how New Mexicans can more fully participate in the global music community. The Albuquerque Songwriter’s Series features three New Mexico songwriters a month in performance, talking about their work and the process of songwriting and is hosted by Rob Martinez, Jr. The group meets from 7-9 PM on the first Thursday of every month at the Slate Street Café, 515 Slate, in Albuquerque.
