The New Mexico Music Awards in cooperation with Full Battle Rattle Albuquerque and the Albuquerque Songwriters’ Cooperative held its first Songwriting Workshop for Veterans on April 19th, 2015.

Our goal was to build on the work done by Full Battle Rattle Albuquerque which teaches combat disabled veterans to play music as a constructive outlet for Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Traumatic Brain Injury.

The New Mexico Music Awards will be producing more Veteran songwriting workshops in August of 2015 and fall of 2015. If you would like to have a Veteran's Songwriting Workshop in your community, contact us at or ar 505-398-3577.
