The New Mexico Music Awards in cooperation with the University of New Mexico has announced our latest Eric Larson Endowment Scholarship recipient, Haley Baysinger, a junior at the University of New Mexico, studying music and psychology, and a recent graduate of the Recording Workshop in Chillicothe, Ohio. Born in Aurora, Colorado, Haley was raised in Albuquerque, and graduated from Eldorado High School in 2009. You'll have a chance to meet her at this year's award's banquet.Our thanks to professor Steven Block of the UNM Fine Arts Department, UNM Sound Engineer and instructor Manny Rettinger of UBIK Sound, Alicia Martell of the UNM Foundation and Eric's mother Ressie and daughters Robbie and Toni for making this possible. The New Mexico Jazz Workshop announces a number of events for spring and summer. The NMJW's Creative Arts Camp for kids 6-12 takes place June 4th-15 and June 18th-29th and registration is open now.
